Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands, solving mechanical problems, and keeping vehicles running at their best? As a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic in the U.S. Army, you’ll train to inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of tactical and commercial vehicles—from Humvees and Light Medium Tactical Vehicles to advanced diesel engines and hydraulic systems. No prior experience is required;
we provide all technical training and certifications needed to start a career in the automotive and diesel maintenance field.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel and gasoline engines
- Repair electrical, brake, steering, hydraulic, and HVAC systems
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance services
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas according to safety standards
- Document work performed and ensure vehicles meet operational readiness requirements
- Work both independently and as part of a team of skilled technicians
