Lead Swim Instructor

Responsibilities

• Learning and teaching British Swim School standard based swimming lessons, with an emphasis on survival skills
• Training new swim instructors that join our program
• Speaking to parents/customers about their children’s progress
• Engaging children/swimmers through smiling, singing, and having fun while teaching lessons!

This position would start as a part‑time position with an emphasis on teaching swim classes. As the business grows, there’s potential opportunity to transition to full time.

• You’ve got to love working with children and seeing them progress.
• You need to be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun ing fun is mandatory!
• This is a year‑round position, and we are looking for longer‑term employees.
• You need to be a "swimmer". Ideally, you have an understanding of all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water.
• Weekend morning availability (Saturday or Sunday or both) starting at 8:30am
• Weekday afternoon and evening availability starting at 3:30pm
• Reliable transportation to any of our area locations
• Willing to learn and follow franchise brand standards and guidelines, as well as teach new instructors the same

Compensation: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary‑aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It’s helpful if you have experience with children or in a child‑focused job, but it’s not required if you can show the right attitude.

The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you’re not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool.
