Oversees shop personnel in a manufacturing setting. Responsible for planning the work, assigning and monitoring the work and ensuring standards are followed and improved through a combination of employee improvements and management-led initiatives that support employee and company development.

• Supervision / Management - Experience in employee development through regular performance feedback and scheduled performance evaluations
• Production Planning - Ability to look ahead and assign work in a complex work environment
• Production Monitoring - Ability to manage systems to forecast capacity and monitor daily and hourly work to ensure schedule will be met
• Technical Knowledge - Knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, equipment required for cabinet shop operation (e.g., Edgebander, CNC) and managing tools and spare parts
• Lean - Experience and knowledge of Lean principles and practices with a strong desire and ability to learn and apply more complex Lean concepts to drive problem solving
• Mindset of systems optimization and continuous improvement
• Ability to balance safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and employee relations to deliver positive outcomes
• Ability to manage multiple critical priorities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Cabinet Knowledge - experience in technical aspects of cabinet building
• Safety - experience in managing safety in a manufacturing environment
