You have strong organizational and time management skills. You are competent, friendly and respectful. You are dependable, and able to work on your own or as part of a team.
Duties may include but are not limited to: installing both commercial and residential overhead doors and motors (training provided) for new construction and existing. Working as a team for larger installations and on your own for smaller installations and repairs. Unloading materials delivered from vendors. Interacting with customers to diagnose issues and complete repairs.
Work hoursTypical weekly 40-hour shift:
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm.
- Install or repair residential and commercial garage doors using a variety of power and hand tools.
- Install or repair overhead door motors.
- Create door springs and other components.
- Program and test logic boards.
- Keep truck stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Climb up and down step ladders and operate lifts.
- Follow all safety rules and protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Assist co-workers with larger installations.
- Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, site visits, and job completion.
Education, Experience and Licensing:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (for insurance purposes).
Competent use of basic construction tools (drills, drivers, saws, wrenches, etc.).
Must be comfortable on step ladders and lifts.
Initiative to work with little supervision.
Able to manage multiple service calls in an efficient and organized manner.
Can work closely with others as part of a team.
Ability to lift 60-80 pounds.
Able to communicate with customers in a respectful and service-minded manner.
High level of social maturity including respect, integrity, and honesty.
- Prior overhead door experience.
- Prior experience in an installation or service industry.
- Strong work ethic demonstrating focus, punctuality and drive.
- Ability to learn new skills and processes.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly moves throughout the store and yard. Daily travel to local job sites. Will be required to lift and/or move 60-80 pounds. Must be comfortable on ladders and lifts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and move for long periods of time.
PAY AND BENEFITSStarting hourly pay range is $22 - $30 DOE.
Employees are eligible for the following benefits following a 90-day orientation period:
Medical Insurance with HSA contributions. Employer pays 75% of employee premium.
Paid Holidays (6 paid holidays per year)
Sick pay and Paid Vacation. Begins accruing after 90 days.
Family Medical Leave – Employer pays 100% of employee deductions.
