Are you friendly, organised, accurate and looking for a role where you can feel part of something meaningful?

Freedom Care is a caring, family-focussed business providing support to children, families and vulnerable people across a wide range of services.

We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join our small, supportive accounts team and become part of our wider Freedom Family.

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a friendly environment, takes pride in getting the detail right, and wants to be part of a business where people genuinely care about each other, our staff, and the families we support.

About the Role

As our Accounts Administrator, you will help support the smooth running of the accounts department and wider business. You will be involved in timesheets, payroll preparation, expenses, invoices, VAT information, Quick Books entries and general administrative support.

You will need to be confident with numbers, accurate with data, and able to work to deadlines, while also being warm, approachable and professional when speaking with staff, clients and colleagues.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, likes to be helpful, and is happy working both independently and as part of a close team.

What You'll Be Doing

Your duties will include:

  • Inputting and processing timesheets
  • Checking time entries and chasing missing information
  • Liaising with departments to make sure information is accurate and submitted on time
  • Uploading supporting documents and checking VAT rates
  • Helping prepare payroll information
  • Logging expenses and advances
  • Preparing invoices from approved time entries
  • Processing client payments
  • Entering purchase invoices into Quick Books
  • Supporting bank reconciliations
  • Answering the telephone when required
  • Responding to emails and general queries
  • Helping other areas of the business when needed
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable and professional
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks
  • Accurate, careful and detail-focussed
  • Confident using Excel and accounts software
  • Ideally experienced with Quick Books and/or Quick Books Time
  • Comfortable working to deadlines
  • Able to use their own initiative
  • A good communicator with a helpful telephone manner
  • Flexible and calm when things change unexpectedly
  • Trustworthy, confidential and aligned with GDPR expectations
  • Positive, proactive and willing to learn

Experience in a small business, staffing-based organisation, care organisation or accounts department would be a real advantage, but most importantly we are looking for someone with the right attitude, reliability and values.

Qualifications and Experience

You should have:

  • GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent
  • Experience in administration, finance, bookkeeping or accounts support
  • Good Excel skills
  • Experience using accounts software, ideally Quick Books
  • A good understanding of how an accounts department works
Why Join Freedom Care?

We offer:

  • A caring and compassionate employer
  • A friendly and supportive team
  • Flexibility where possible
  • A varied and interesting role
  • The chance to grow with a dynamic business
  • A profit-sharing bonus system
  • A workplace where accuracy, kindness and teamwork really matter

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a warm, values-led business and who will take pride in supporting the smooth running of our accounts department and wider Freedom Family.
