The Opportunity

The firm is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join its team on a full-time, permanent basis. This hybrid role will be based across the firm’s Hampshire offices with occasional travel to other locations.

Reporting directly to the Risk & Compliance Partner, this role is integral to ensuring the firm operates ethically, efficiently, and fully compliant with regulatory requirements. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, shaping and embedding a strong compliance culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations
    , AML requirements
    , GDPR
    , and other legal obligations.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring risk and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Carrying out audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks; providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Delivering training and guidance to staff on regulatory responsibilities and compliance best practice.
  • Supporting the Risk & Compliance Partner with client due diligence, AML checks, and wider risk management processes.
  • Working closely with senior leadership to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
About You
  • Previous experience in a risk and compliance role within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SRA regulations, anti-money laundering legislation, and data protection laws
    .
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-focused, and confident in working with senior stakeholders.
