Base pay rangeCompetitive salary of £16,419 per annum, 25 hours per week over 5 days to include weekends and bank holidays. Plus service charge, a duvet day on your birthday, Hospitality Action Wellbeing EAP, TiPJAR, discounts to local attractions and across our Collection.
Role OverviewThe Breakfast Chef plays a vital role in the daily success of the Forest Lodge Hotel by preparing and presenting delicious breakfast dishes that delight our guests. You will be a key member of our kitchen team, ensuring every plate served is of the highest quality, reflecting both skill and passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook breakfast items to the highest standards, including traditional British breakfast, continental options, and bespoke dishes.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations and company hygiene standards.
- Assist with stock control and ordering of breakfast ingredients to minimise waste and maximise freshness.
- Collaborate closely with the Kitchen Manager and front‑of‑house teams to ensure smooth service and a welcoming guest experience.
- Contribute ideas to menu development and seasonal breakfast offerings.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Proven experience as a chef, preferably with a focus on breakfast or similar catering & hospitality roles.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, with relevant certifications preferred.
- Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required.
