Senior Accountant - Accounts Receivable

HYBRID SCHEDULE: 2 Days in-office/3 Days Remote

OVERVIEW:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the AR, journal entries, general ledger, monthly close, reconciliations, deductions, and credit & collections functions within the Accounting Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist with month end closing procedure

- Reconcile and close the A/R ledger each month

- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations

- Handle daily bank receipts posting and application

- Processing credit card payments

- Review and resolve payment discrepancies/chargebacks in a timely manner

- Provide timely review and identification of disputes, obtain supporting documentation in coordination with other departments where required

- Ensure invalid/unauthorized deductions are repaid

- Analyze Accounts Receivable aging reports and assist with follow up on past due accounts

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related

- Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, including monthly close, account receivable, deductions, and credit & collections preferred

- Customer service oriented with great negotiation skills

- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written

- Proven ability to engage in process improvement initiatives
