Position: Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist

We are seeking a results-driven, detail-oriented, and client-focused Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our retail finance team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and enjoys supporting administrative functions. This role supports specialty store accounts and requires a strong customer-service mindset. The ideal candidate will be proactive in resolving issues, committed to improving processes, and focused on delivering measurable outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

/ DUTIES:
Collections
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer balances.
  • Initiate collection calls and emails to ensure timely payments.
  • Resolve payment discrepancies, including chargebacks and deductions, and escalate issues as needed.
Cash Applications
  • Accurately apply incoming payments to customer accounts.
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts and ensure proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to maintain accurate records.
Administrative Support
  • Maintain organized records and support audit processes.
  • Support ad hoc finance and operations tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related finance roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of chargebacks and deductions.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite).
  • Tech‑savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Degree preferred but not required—relevant experience and skills are highly valued.
  • Experience with RLM or similar retail logistics/management platforms is a plus.
