Patient Services Rep/Phlebotomist FT (SDX)

Job Responsibilities- Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens, blood samples, and pathology and cytology samples.
- Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems or a directory of services.
- Complete data entry requirements accurately, including patient registration and test order entry from requisition.
- Enter billing information and collect payments when required, safeguarding assets and credit card information.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Work iLabs for assigned accounts daily to ensure accurate data for billing.
- Provide necessary CIR and PPE resolution reporting to the Director as required and scheduled.
- Perform departmental clerical duties such as data entry, inventory, stock supplies, and answer phones when needed.
- Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures, ensuring all staff follow instructions.
- Verify patient demographic information and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling.
- Assist with compilation and submission of monthly statistics and data.
- Maintain phlebotomy logs such as maintenance logs and temperature logs in a timely manner.
- Complete training courses and stay current with phlebotomy techniques.
- Travel to Territory Manager meetings if held off‑site or outside normal shift.
- Participate on special projects and teams.
- Stay up‑to‑date on company communications.
- Ability to produce quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on‑site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime.

- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.
- Demonstrate superior customer focus; communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; accelerate and embrace change; possess knowledge of our business.
- Lift light to moderately heavy objects (1–15 lb frequently, 16–25 lb occasionally, 26–40 lb seldom; >41 lb without assistance).
- Sit or stand for long periods; require long hours of eye and hand coordination.
- Perform repetitive tasks with the dominant hand throughout the day.
- Position requires travel.
- Extensive use of phone and PC.
- Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness.
- Bending/kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching/twisting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
