Patient Services Rep/Phlebotomist FT (SDX)

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens, blood samples, and pathology and cytology samples.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems or a directory of services.
• Complete data entry requirements accurately, including patient registration and test order entry from requisition.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, safeguarding assets and credit card information.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Work iLabs for assigned accounts daily to ensure accurate data for billing.
• Provide necessary CIR and PPE resolution reporting to the Director as required and scheduled.
• Perform departmental clerical duties such as data entry, inventory, stock supplies, and answer phones when needed.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures, ensuring all staff follow instructions.
• Verify patient demographic information and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling.
• Assist with compilation and submission of monthly statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs such as maintenance logs and temperature logs in a timely manner.
• Complete training courses and stay current with phlebotomy techniques.
• Travel to Territory Manager meetings if held off‑site or outside normal shift.
• Participate on special projects and teams.
• Stay up‑to‑date on company communications.

• Ability to produce quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on‑site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime.

• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.

• Lift light to moderately heavy objects (1–15 lb frequently, 16–25 lb occasionally, 26–40 lb seldom; >41 lb without assistance).
• Sit or stand for long periods; require long hours of eye and hand coordination.
• Perform repetitive tasks with the dominant hand throughout the day.
• Position requires travel.
• Extensive use of phone and PC.
• Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness.
• Bending/kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching/twisting.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
