Compensation: $80k - $90k + Commission
An established industrial equipment provider is seeking an Industrial Machinery Sales Representative to drive growth in capital equipment solutions, including packaging machinery such as baggers, stretch wrappers, and related automation systems. This role is critical to expanding the customer base and ensuring long-term client satisfaction throughout the full sales and project lifecycle.
What you'll do- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, industry networking, trade shows, and referrals
- Conduct on-site visits and technical consultations to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate machinery solutions
- Manage the full sales process from initial contact through proposal development, quoting, negotiation, and closing
- Collaborate with engineering, service, and project teams to ensure smooth equipment installation and customer onboarding
- Maintain and grow existing accounts through regular follow-ups and value-added support
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall company growth
- Split time between customer-facing field visits and office-based work managing sales activities, preparing proposals, and collaborating with internal teams
- Proven experience in capital equipment or industrial machinery sales
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand and present machinery specifications and benefits
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory or region
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting processes
- Experience in the packaging industry preferred
- Experience with stretch wrappers, baggers, case sealers, or other packaging automation systems is a plus
- 1st-year earnings expectations of $80k - $90k + uncapped commission
