Truck Mechanic

Job Title

We, at Pacific Rail Services, are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic for a full‑time permanent position in our Bergen, NJ rail terminal.

• Hourly pay with yearly income potential of $45,000‑$60,000 per year (includes overtime).
• Pay rate is commensurate with experience.

Day shift, 24/7 call‑out availability.

• Minimum of 2‑year experience in the mechanical field and preventive‑maintenance minded.
• Must have own tools (yearly tool allowance provided).
• Experience and knowledge with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic and Diesel systems and components.
• Valid driver's license required.

• Diagnose and repair forklifts, company vehicles, and hostler fleet.
• Maintain Hostler Fleet.
• Assist in other areas as needed by managers.

• Valid Driver's License.
• Advanced knowledge of railroad industry from a vocational education institute, apprenticeship, on‑the‑job training and/or similar work experience.
• Must be able to pass a 7‑year background check. Any felonies in the last 7 years or jail time in the last 5 years will disqualify applicants.
• Must be able to pass a hair‑follicle drug test.
• Must be able to pass an IPCS Physical Capabilities Test.
• (No GED or diploma required).
