Lead Engineer - Cost Execution – GE Aerospace

Roles and Responsibilities- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements with guidance from experienced teammates and technical experts. Properly document technical data generated.
- Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project.
- Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments. Collaborate with people leader and/or teammates to develop action plans to resolve.
- Participate and lead teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and issues.
- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Ownership of select component designs and action plans.
- Support the implementation of Flight Deck principles within working teams.
- Lead small projects within rotating parts balancing some risk and resource requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design engineering.
- Ability to travel up to 10% annually.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future.
- Rotating part hardware ownership experience and familiarity with helicopter engines.
- Experience in CAD design and analysis tools, especially Unigraphics/NX, ANSYS classic.
- Ability to identify problems, evaluate options, and recommend solutions considering input from stakeholders and technical experts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Experience in design, analysis, and manufacturing of high-precision or turbo machinery components.
- Understanding of GD&T principles and reading or creating drawings.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
The base pay range for this position is $ - $. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage;
