Position: 25 hours per week, day shift.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate and oversee the patient registration process, ensuring timely and accurate collection of patient information.
  • Verify insurance coverage for patients and ensure accurate and complete documentation of insurance information.
  • Coordinate patient admissions in collaboration with healthcare providers, nurses, and other relevant staff.
  • Provide financial counseling to patients, explaining insurance coverage, billing processes, and payment options.
  • Provide support to a team of registration staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, including privacy laws.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
Bachelor's Degree in Related Field of Study preferred.

Experience: Experience in healthcare registration or patient accounts. 3-5 years required. Experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Licenses and Credentials: Experience in healthcare registration or patient accounts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of healthcare registration processes, insurance verification, and billing procedures.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in gathering and documenting patient information.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to address registration issues and resolve patient concerns.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare software systems, electronic health records, and registration software.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience.
