ResponsibilitiesRole:
Set up and operate all types of standard and special machines generally in production areas to machine a wide variety of parts to close tolerances, perform layout, use hand tools, may direct others, and perform related duties.
- Set up and operate CNC mill and turn machines and manual machines
- Work with materials such as castings, forgings, screw machine blanks, turret lathe blanks, sawed blanks and bar stock
- Set up by changing chuck jaws, tool holders, fixtures, boring bars, drills, reamers, and setting tools
- Operate under Lean Manufacturing guidelines including one-piece flow, standard work, 6S, setup reduction and wet process lines
- Maintain high housekeeping standards for safe and efficient work areas, including cleaning chips and managing coolant/machine fluids
- Make decisions based on experience and data
- Perform other duties as required
- High School Diploma / GED
- Minimum 2 years of machining experience including CNC mill and turn machines and additional production equipment
- Demonstrated experience or successful completion of classes in geometric tolerancing
- Demonstrated work experience in reading and interpreting blueprints
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Employment will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access from the U.S. Government for non-U.S. persons.
