ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of the Irrigation Manager
- Monitor and test new installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements, and evaluate start-ups, winterization and overall operation of the irrigation system.
- Conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems.
- Program and maintain controllers.
- Manage both public water and well-driven systems.
- Train new crew to use equipment and apply best practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS of the Irrigation Manager
- Must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
- Ability to create and read site map colored charts/legends.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Job description subject to change based upon the company needs and demands.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS of the Irrigation Manager
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials.
- Employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift.
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT of the Irrigation Manager
- Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
