About

The Position

This posting is a general pool for Middle and High School Teachers for the 2025-26 school year. Applications will be reviewed when vacancies arise. If a position is confirmed, it may be filled from this pool or via a separate posting. Please select your grade level and teaching preferences in the application questions.

Applications are being accepted for the following middle and high school subject areas:

  • Mathematics
  • English/Language Arts
  • Health & Fitness/PE
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Choral/Instrumental Music
  • Drama/Visual Arts

Preference will be given to candidates with an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement. SIOP training and GLAD training offered by the Multilingual Education Department will be required for all new employees unless they can show evidence of having completed SIOP and GLAD training previously. Training must be completed within the first year of employment.

Required Qualifications

Washington State Teaching Certificate with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the area(s) you are applying for.

Salary

2024-25 Salary Schedule Range: $80,136 through $143,159. The 2025-26 Salary Schedule is not yet finalized. Placement on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.

Benefits

Our benefits package includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions.

  • Eligibility for health insurance is based on anticipated compensation at least 630 hours per school year. A .5 FTE continuing contract position meets this threshold for 2025-26. Eligibility for a non-continuing contract is determined at hire by total anticipated compensated hours through the end of the contract. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Long-term Disability, Life and AD+D Insurance and options for HSA, FSA and DCAP.
  • Eligibility for retirement is based on anticipated work at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year. A .6 FTE (continuing or non-continuing) meets this threshold for 2025-26.
  • Supplemental benefits available include Life Insurance, Paid Sick Leave, Paid Personal Leave, Employee Assistance Program, Deferred Compensation Plan, and 403(b) Plans.
