Learning Resource Teacher – .5 FTE
Edmonds School District invites applications for a continuing contract position (0.5 FTE) for a Learning Resource Teacher, beginning as soon as hired. The role is split between Scriber Lake High School (.2 FTE) and Edmonds Heights K‑12 (.3 FTE) on the same campus. Schedule includes morning classes at Scriber Lake Monday through Friday and late‑morning to afternoon classes at Edmonds Heights on Mondays and Tuesdays, with specific times to be determined.

Job Responsibilities- Primarily focus on secondary math instruction and behavior support at Edmonds Heights.
- Assist students with physical support or challenging behaviors.
- Communicate regularly with students, families, staff and administrators.
- Perform manual tasks such as moving objects up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds.
- Adjust visual focus for close‑range tasks and equipment.
- Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Special Education or the ability to obtain one prior to the start date.
- Preference for candidates with an ELL, ESOL or Bilingual endorsement.
- Completion of SIOP and GLAD training within the first year of employment.

Salary & Benefits2025‑26 Salary Schedule Range: $83,305 through $148,226. Placement is determined by FTE and documented educational level and experience.
Benefits include Washington state health insurance (SEBB) and a retirement package for eligible positions. Eligibility for health insurance is based on at least 630 hours per school year; for a .5 FTE continuing contract, eligibility is met. Retirement eligibility requires at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year.
Physical Requirements /DemandsThe role requires navigating school and classroom environments, assisting students who need physical support, and communicating regularly. Tasks include frequent manual work with hands or fingers, reaching, bending and twisting. Moving objects up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds, is required. Visual tasks involve close‑range focus adjustments.
