Field Engineer

Overview

Field Engineer role ponsibilities and qualifications reflect engineering and field service work across multiple projects and clients.

• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
• Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients, including field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, recommendations, design and development of plans and specifications, observation and inspection, and writing, preparing, and reviewing related reports.
• Review drawings and construction to assure compliance with plans and specifications. Prepare proposals and cost estimates, track and evaluate project progress, budgets, and recommend changes. Research and resolve design and construction problems.
• Assign, review, and evaluate laboratory or field data for inclusion in reports. Apply sound engineering principles and communicate complex engineering issues to technical and non-technical clients and project teams.
• Assist in data collection, field observation, inspection, testing, and drafting, with occasional work alongside engineering technicians on project sites and preparation of daily activity reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) designation.

The expected salary range for this position is listed below. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

$34.75 - $48.75 per hour
