Junior Structural Engineer – Comeyne, Annelies
Location:
Lynnwood/Seattle, Washington. This role is part of the architecture, engineering, and construction team that designs projects across aerospace, defense, manufacturing, commercial, education, entertainment, and hospitality markets. The position offers the opportunity to work on innovative structural design solutions with a collaborative team culture.
The Engineer will apply engineering knowledge, judgment, and design software to create detailed structures. Drafts will include plans, details, schedules, notes, isometrics, elevations, and sections for preliminary, schematic, design‑development, construction, and record documents.
Job Responsibilities- Perform tasks that develop professional engineering knowledge and abilities while applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Perform design calculations and application of standard engineering practices, adjusting and correlating data as necessary.
- Design portions of projects under the direction of a Project Engineer or other responsible staff.
- Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data from engineers and architects.
- Develop Revit and AutoCAD drawings from verbal instruction, rough sketches, marked‑up drawings, design computations, engineering fundamentals, and the company detail library.
- Research discipline‑related code issues and present interpretations.
- Visit sites for observations, measurements, and record existing facility conditions; review and monitor construction progress.
- Use computer‑assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering calculations and designs, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, TEDDS, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Instruct drafters and designers in conveying the structural design in construction documents.
- Perform quality‑control checks of one's own work and that prepared by drafters and designers.
- Coordinate all applicable discipline drawings and specifications.
- Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific project needs.
- Promote communication, cooperation, and quality among discipline and team members.
- Adhere to project standards, practices, and quality as defined in company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- Aptitude for graphics with working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, STAAD, Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

Salary Range$69,000 – $87,000 yearly
