Assistant Branch Manager – Columbia Bank

- Ensures the branch meets or exceeds operations standards at all times; responsible for satisfactory audits.
- Monitors sales and service goals and coaches team members to deepen customer relationships using Client and Business Financial Review.
- Develops and maintains strong, long‑term relationships with consumers and businesses in the local community; consistently provides proactive solutions and resolves problems in alignment with the bank’s Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
- Acts as backup to personal banking team to open new accounts, receive loan requests and gather credit‑related information.
- Manages, leads, trains, and coaches tellers; may also oversee personal bankers in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
- Processes and oversees technical tasks such as opening and closing the branch, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers and collections, stop payments, and monitoring branch controls.
- High School Diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s, Associate’s, vocational, or technical degree in banking, business, or related field, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- 3 years of retail banking experience (required); 2 years of management or supervisory experience (preferred).
- 2 years of consumer and small‑business lending origination experience (preferred).
- Customer service background in retail or banking.
- Demonstrated ability to grow sales by developing long‑lasting, knowledge‑based relationships with clients and offering customized solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including handling difficult customer and associate conversations in a professional, transparent, and courteous manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task effectively.
- Proficient use of spreadsheets and other banking computer systems.
- Effective training and mentoring skills.
- This position requires you to act as a Bank MLO (subject to SAFE Act registration). It is not authorized to act as a Bank Closed‑End MLO; it is limited to open‑end transactions (home equity lines of credit).

- The pay range for this role is $25.00 – $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
