Kinwell BHCs practice as generalists, seeing patients of varied ages with a wide range of behavioral issues affecting their health. They emphasize same-day visits and easy access, getting care to people when they most need and want it, and work seamlessly with our Physicians and other team members. The Behavioral Health Clinician is a regular, routine, and critical part of primary care duct thorough behavioral health assessments, including clinical interviews, diagnostic evaluations, and psycho-social assessments.
Act as a Clinician to other healthcare professionals on the mental and behavioral health aspects of patient care.
BHC will work in partnership with BH Psychologists and understand when a situation is beyond their scope of knowledge and/or license and requires psychologist involvement. Educate medical clinicians and other clinic team members as well as patients and their families on behavioral health conditions, stress management, healthy lifestyle choices, and wellness strategies. Participate in peer review of EHR documentation, ensuring accurate and ethical standards across the Behavioral Health team.
Three (3) years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting. Ability to see patients of all ages, including children and adolescents. Experience working in a healthcare clinic or primary care setting. (Preferred) Experience working with patients under the age of 18. (Preferred) Experience working on an interdisciplinary team. (Preferred) Ability to work closely with a diverse staff and patient population.
Proficiency in evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, etc.).Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team. Knowledge of holistic and integrative approaches to behavioral health care. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced clinical environment. Proficiency incorporating technology into patient care (e.g., conducting virtual visits and utilizing electronic health records).
