Job Purpose And Summary

Responsibilities- Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations, and solving or escalating patient problems.
- Perform basic inventory activities such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns‑to‑stock.
- Embrace a growth mindset, seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge, and actively contribute to a high‑performing team.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including travel to other stores as required.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
- Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and offsite clinic staffing) where permissible by law and training.
- Complete additional licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
- Educate patients about vaccines and refer questions to the Pharmacist‑on‑duty.
- Monitor and respond to adverse reactions, reporting events per public health requirements.
- Review, collect, and document patient information for each vaccine administered.
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
- Compliance with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
- Minimum age: 16 years, if not specified by the state board.
- Minimum education:
high school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment in high school. - State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Complete required training within designated time frames.

- Confirm prescription accuracy to ensure patient safety.

- Use verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Practice active listening and ask clarifying questions.
- Mathematical Reasoning;
- Use math to calculate medication quantities and days’ supply.
- Problem Resolution;
- Identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
- Physical Demands;
- Remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
- Lift, scan, and bag items up to 20 lbs.
- Reach and extend arms to place or move items.
- Manipulate items primarily with fingers, performing repetitive movements.
- Maintain visual acuity for reading and small‑part inspection.
- Speak detailed oral instructions accurately.
- Receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Perform any additional tasks as directed by Supervisors or Managers.
- 1‑3 years of previous Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and at other locations in the market to meet business needs.
