Retail Sales Associate FT at US Foods

The CHEF’S STORE Sales Associate helps maintain an atmosphere of superior customer service, promoting the US Foods strategy:
Great Food, Made Easy. You will serve in various roles including Cashier, Stocker, and Customer Courtesy, and must be passionate about service and model this behavior in all aspects of job performance.

• Early morning starts at 4 AM or 5 AM.
• Must have open availability including weekends.
• Required to work in coolers and freezers.
• Freight handling and overnights.
• Starting rate $19.66/hr; overall pay range $13.00/hr to $21.00/hr.

• Front End:
  • Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF’S STORE experience by building and maximizing relationships.
  • Perform sales and cash functions in the POS efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform cart-to-cart transfer of all products at checkout, inspecting for tampering.
  • Verify cart content vs. purchases as receipt checker.
  • Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end.
• Sales Floor and Stocking:
  • Increase sales and manage shrinkage; assist customers to find needed products.
  • Receive inventory shipments and maintain orderly shelves with proper rotation.
  • Label merchandise, blaster tag unscannable items, apply catch‑weight or PLU tags.
  • Replenish sales floor daily using FIFO; use pallet jacks and reach trucks.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary software as needed.
  • Assist with price changes, opening/closing duties, and inventory cycle counts.
• Customer Courtesy:
  • Maintain hygiene and safety of sales floor, front end, restrooms, parking lot.
  • Gather and return carts, ensure cleanliness and operability.
  • Notify management of safety or cleanliness issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by Store Management.

• 6–12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service and assist other employees.
• Provide fast, easy, efficient, professional service to each customer.
• Good common sense with logical thinking and basic math aptitude.
• Motivated, self‑driven, able to multi‑task, prioritize, work independently or within a team.
• Flexible hourly schedule, including holidays and weekends.
• Basic computer skills, cash handling, and proficiency with general office equipment.
