Pay: $30 to $35 per hour

The Adult Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) provides comprehensive respiratory care to adult patients during night shifts. The RCP is responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care in accordance with hospital policies and physician orders.

• Perform respiratory assessments and develop appropriate care plans for adult patients
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and medications as prescribed
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation, including ventilator setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analyze results
• Provide airway management, including suctioning and emergency respiratory interventions
• Respond promptly to emergency situations such as Code Blue and Rapid Response calls
• Monitor patient response to therapy and document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Ensure proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of respiratory equipment
• Comply with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
• Active and unrestricted state Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of adult acute care experience preferred
• Experience with ventilators, critical care, and emergency response preferred
