El Super #44 is hiring a Bakery Clerk for our Lynwood location. Starting Rate: $16.90 per hour. This position is open to candidates aged 16-17.

What You'll Bring
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Apply common sense to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
- Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently lift up to 45 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.

Under direct supervision of the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and manages tasks within the bakery area.
- Assist customers with bakery purchases.
- Clean shelving and display cases; maintain self‑serve displays in front of the store and adjacent to the bakery.
- Work with customers to take special orders.
- Collaborate with the Baker to determine items needing baking or decoration.
- Help with department cleaning, including hosing down floors with soap and water.
The working environment is fast‑paced, with physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, visual and auditory requirements.
Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to food preparation, handling, and serving.
