Secondary English Teacher

Humly is recruiting an English Teacher to join a secondary school on a long-term basis.

This is a full-time role starting after February half-term and continuing for two terms. The role would suit a confident and committed secondary practitioner who is comfortable teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4 and contributing positively to a collaborative department.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

* Supporting pupils’ progress in reading, writing and literary analysis

* Establishing clear routines and maintaining positive classroom behaviour

* Assessing learning and providing constructive feedback to pupils

* Contributing to departmental planning and shared resources

* Working collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school expectations

What You’ll Bring

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Experience teaching English at secondary level

* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

* Confidence delivering the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum

* A professional, reflective approach to teaching and learning

Pay

Paid to scale from day one: £168.80 – £232.57 per day (M1 – M6)
