Invigilator

This casual invigilator post sits within the examinations team at Lytham St Annes High School and covers internal and external assessment periods in November, December, May and June. The work is supervising candidates in exam rooms under school and JCQ rules, keeping a quiet, orderly setting and handling the set-up and collection of papers. Hours are casual and fall only during exam periods, and prior school experience is welcome but not required.

Enhanced DBS clearance is needed and visa sponsorship is not available.

• Supervising candidates in exams under school and JCQ regulations
• Setting up exam venues for smooth administration
• Greeting students, checking attendance and seating candidates
• Distributing exam papers, stationery and assessment materials
• Maintaining unobtrusive supervision throughout each session
• Enforcing exam conditions and rules on conduct and communication
• Dealing promptly and appropriately with student queries
• Reporting procedural irregularities, misconduct or behavioural concerns immediately
• Escorting and supervising candidates who need emergency leave from the room
• Collecting, sorting and securely storing completed scripts and materials
• Working collaboratively within the invigilation team
