We are a leading Fylde Coast hotel with a reputation for great customer experience looking for an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee all aspects of F&B Service including up to two Restaurants, Conference, Banqueting and Bars.
THE JOBAs Food and Beverage Manager you will be responsible for the financial and operational performance of the Food and Beverage department which includes the Restaurant, Conference, Banqueting and Bars. You will develop, coach and lead your team to deliver consistent high quality food and beverage service to hotel guests. With full accountability for the financial performance of Food and Beverage you will work to given wage, gross profit and revenue targets to ensure the profitability of the department.
THEPERSON
The successful applicant will have a strong and relevant background in hotel Food and Beverage. This role requires a hands‑on approach from a manager who is prepared to lead from the front. This is not an office‑based role!
They will be able to demonstrate a high skill level and proven results in similar environments. They must possess a sound knowledge of industry trends, products and techniques.
Most of all the candidate must be a positive, collaborative and enthusiastic individual with great leadership skills and the ability and vision to effect change where the need for this is identified.
Responsibilities will include:- Managing the Food and Beverage team, including training, recruitment and conduct and performance management
- Full operational responsibility for the Food and Beverage department including but not limited to; scheduling rotas, purchasing, management of absence and holidays,
- Overseeing the financial performance of the Food and Beverage department including beverage stock control, management of wage cost in line with given budgets and influencing incremental revenue through developing a sales culture within the department.
- To oversee, coach and develop the senior F&B team, giving performance appraisals in line with company policy.
- Handling customer feedback both positive and negative in a proactive and constructive manner.
- Fully responsible for health and safety within the department
- To develop a structured training plan within the department to inspire a customer experience led culture.
