Staff Nurse School Age Vaccination and Immunisation Team

Role Overview

Recruit a registered nurse to support the delivery of the national school vaccination programme across Blackpool, Wyre, Fylde and Lancaster localities.

• Promote and deliver the National Vaccination Programme in schools, nurseries and community settings.
• Obtain telephone consents from parents for their child’s vaccinations.
• Support the Immunisation Team during base and community sessions across the Trust footprint.
• Travel to schools and clinics within the Morecambe Bay and Fylde Coast areas as required.

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car – essential.
• Demonstrated good communication, organisational and IT skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel across the Trust footprint.

The role is a 7‑month fixed‑term contract with annualised hours. During the first 12 weeks of the contract, higher weekly hours may be required to meet increased service demand, after which weekly hours will reduce in accordance with service needs.

Position based at St Annes Primary Care Centre, with travel to schools and clinics across the full footprint.
