Location: Lytham
Retail Store Manager
Location:
Lytham. Salary: £27,336–£32,067 per annum plus benefits. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Permanent contract under the Trading Department, reporting to the Area Manager.
- Guide, inspire and engage a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention and development.
- Own and deliver the commercial running of the store: display and merchandising, stock management, maintaining shop standards and layout, and achieving sales & income targets.
- Lead by example and provide excellent customer and supporter service.
- Maximise profit through effective cost control and sales.
- Build relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
- Plan and run creative fundraising events to meet the store’s fundraising targets.
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, security, administration and HR policies.
- Perform manual handling and physical activities required on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Spend 4 weeks in a training shop, learning from a Training Shop Manager.
- Subject to a satisfactory basic DBS check.
- Experience managing and inspiring a diverse team.
- Comfort working against targets and motivating others to meet them.
- Ability to multi‑task in a lively environment.
- Working knowledge of customer service excellence.
- Commercial awareness and knowledge of high‑street fashion retail.
- Adaptability and the ability to work effectively independently.
- Awareness of the price, value and worth of items.
- Flexibility to cover rota-based working hours.
