Become a volunteer?! See what suits you here!
Snavelenburg is a nursing home that has been located in Maarssen since April 1996.
Below are a few examples that you can think of, but of course other ideas are welcome. There are various possibilities.
- Welfare Volunteer: As a volunteer you help with group-oriented activities in the ward/living room. Playing a game with the residents, doing crafts, walking, cycling on the duo bike, reading the newspaper or going on department outings for residents.
- As a volunteer you help with organized activities, for example at bingo afternoons and performances or assist with weekly activities such as flower arranging, being creative, singing or reading.
Do you visit a resident for a chat or do you regularly undertake activities with him/her, such as drinking a cup of coffee, fishing, walking, cycling on the side‑by‑side tandem, etc.
People who still live independently at home come here for their daytime activities. As a volunteer you help with joint activities such as reading the newspaper, doing crafts, baking something delicious, walking, cycling, and so on.
You may not have much time but enjoy helping out with occasional activities. Let us know and we'll put you on a list so we can contact you.
