Welcome to UM SPORTS! UM SPORTS is looking for a new Floor Barre Instructor to teach classes in our Body & Mind Studio. Do you have experience teaching Floor Barre? Then we would love to hear from you!
As a group fitness instructor at UM SPORTS, you will be the first point of contact for participants and colleagues. Your classes will include both beginners and more experienced members. You are able to teach independently, motivate participants throughout their workouts, and ensure that exercises are performed safely and that equipment is used correctly.
You will be the primary (and often only) point of contact during your classes, making participants feel welcome and comfortable while answering any questions they may have. Since your classes will include participants of different experience levels, you are able to adapt your instruction to suit both beginners and advanced practitioners.
Requirements- Experience teaching Floor Barre classes.
- A Floor Barre certification is preferred.
- Teaching language:
English. - Ability to adapt easily to different target groups and skill levels.
- Friendly, approachable, and able to make participants feel comfortable.
- Available to teach during the late afternoon, early evening, and weekends.
- Working hours:
To be agreed upon (starting with approximately two classes per week, mainly on Wednesday afternoons and weekends)
- A one‑year contract for 0.08 Fte (2 hours per week).
- The position is classified on salary scale 7 or 8, according to the Dutch UFO‑profile for Sports Instructor (level 4 or
3). Depending on your experience, the gross monthly salary ranges from €3,057 to €4,484 based on a full‑time appointment (38 hours per week). In addition, you will receive 8.0% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year‑end bonus. - Excellent secondary employment benefits, including participation in the ABP pension scheme, access to company fitness programmes, and free use of the extensive sports facilities and activities offered to UM students.
