Junior Lab Technician

Overview

We’re working on a challenging and incredibly exciting mission: to bring cultured meat to the market. We are currently looking for a (Junior) Lab Technician to join our team. We have a preference for people that live close by.

You will support our R&D teams by managing routine lab activities, troubleshooting equipment, and upholding rigorous quality standards.

• Keep the labs organized following 5S principles.
• Learn and operate according to Standard Operating Procedures to maintain high quality standards.
• Maintain daily operations by managing stock levels of glassware, equipment and supplies.
• Ensure reusable lab glassware is cleaned daily using the autoclave and glassware washer.
• Perform daily, scheduled and preventative cleaning and maintenance of equipment and the lab facility according to QA standards.
• Coordinate with the manager in day‑to‑day activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external repair technicians to initiate and resolve typical service needs on equipment.
• Order and manage inventory of lab consumables and equipment in collaboration with the logistics team.

• Vocational training in laboratory technology (MBO/MLO NL or A2 BE).
• Attention to detail and passion for organization.
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
• Hardworking, flexible, and dedicated team‑player.
• Excellent documentation and registration skills.
• Good verbal English communication skills.

We are more likely to consider EU citizens for this position due to visa requirements. We will not proceed with any visa application for this position.

• Fundamental training and continuous learning culture.
• 25 days of paid leave per year (full‑time).
• Full‑time or part‑time (minimum 24 hours, spread over 4 or 5 days).
• Location near the center of Maastricht.
• Competitive remuneration and a bonus plan similar to Stock Appreciation Rights (SARs).
