Scientist –

Location:

Maastricht, Op De Bos Office. As part of the Technology & Innovation Team, you will develop and evaluate low‑carbon construction materials, focusing on innovative Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs) for mortar and concrete applications.

• Design and execute experimental programs, including mix design, DOE development, and performance evaluations.
• Generate technical insights through data analysis and material characterization to optimize low‑carbon cementitious solutions.
• Evaluate mechanical, rheological, and durability performance of sustainable concrete systems.
• Support scale‑up from laboratory research to pilot trials and commercial implementation in collaboration with internal and external partners.

• PhD in Engineering with Chemistry, Materials Science, Geology, or an equivalent degree.
• 2–5 years of practical industrial experience in building materials, cement and concrete, or related consultancy/service companies.
• Proven client interface capabilities and good project management skills.
• Practical experience in construction applications.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is desirable.
• Right to work in the Netherlands or Europe.
