Volunteer Home Administration

The Humanitas Home Administration project focuses on the growing number of people who are not or barely able to keep their own finances in order.

The approach is accessible and personal, with the intention that those who receive help can do it alone in the foreseeable future.

There is currently room for expansion in our Maastricht-Heuvelland team and that is why we are looking for you to strengthen our team as:

The position: as a volunteer…

• Support the participant in putting the papers in order;
• Support the participant in mapping income and expenses;
• Give you tips and advice to balance income and expenditure and to keep it;
• Give you tips and advice for more structured handling of money;
• Refer you to agencies that can help with applying for income support or waivers and/or debt assistance

What we ask: as a volunteer…

• Do you have affinity and/or experience with administrative matters;
• You have respect and are open to other standards and values;
• Can properly monitor the confidential information about the participant;
• You are able to discuss your own activities and actions and you are open to feedback;
• Can guide and advise you;
• Do you have sufficient social skills;
• You have a good command of the Dutch language, both written and oral;
• You can put the interests of the participant first;
• You put the Humanitas values into practice.
