Are you a mechanical leader with an eye for detail and a passion for the crane and rigging industry? Phoenix Crane Service Inc. (PCS) is looking for a dedicated Shop Foreman to join our leadership team.
In this pivotal role, you will partner directly with the Service Manager to oversee our fleet’s maintenance, ensure peak equipment performance, and lead a high-functioning service team across all PCS locations.
The RoleAs the Shop Foreman, you are the bridge between maintenance and operations. You will be responsible for coordinating equipment repairs, managing inspections, and ensuring that our fleet—both owned and leased—meets the highest safety and reliability standards in the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance:
Collaborate with Sales and Operations to implement and manage PM programs for the entire PCS fleet. - Inspection Oversight:
Manage the periodic inspection program to ensure every piece of equipment is safe and site-ready. - Team Leadership:
Evaluate, plan, and dispatch service employees, prioritizing daily activities across multiple locations. - Operational Communication:
Act as a central hub for service-related issues, coordinating between the shop, the field, and corporate departments (Sales, Operations, and Clerical). - Reporting & Forecasting:
Provide daily reports on maintenance progress, pending repairs, and forecast potential mechanical issues before they impact the schedule. - Industry Expertise:
Stay at the forefront of the truck and crane industry by researching updates, new standards, and emerging technologies.
- Experience:
Proven track record in heavy equipment maintenance, specifically within the crane or trucking industry. - Leadership:
Ability to manage a diverse team of technicians and coordinate complex schedules. - Communication:
Strong professional skills for interfacing with internal departments and outside contractors. - Organization: A detail-oriented approach to managing inspection logs, parts acquisitions, and daily task reporting.
