The Sales and Operations Coordinator supports operations by working with customers, vendors, and other employees to provide sales, procurement and operational services. The Sales and Operations Coordinator takes inbound sales calls and meets with customers in the showroom to help determine their fence needs. The Sales and Operations Coordinator works with our project managers and inventory supervisor to identify upcoming material needs and place orders with established external and internal vendors.

They work cooperatively with the other members of the team to ensure orders are placed correctly so the customers get exactly what they need and the fence crews have the products needed for their project. This position requires a friendly, professional customer service attitude for walk-in customers, telephone customers, the project managers and the fence crews.

Responsibilities
  • Answer sales and operational calls, assisting and taking ownership of customer needs.
  • Assist customers with product questions and any customer service needs as well as new sale needs. Assist walk-in customers with customer service and over the counter sales needs.
  • Generate and assist in processing work orders.
  • Prepare purchase orders for materials needed from outside vendors.
  • Prepare purchase orders for materials to be fabricated internally in one of our shops.
  • Assist the Accounting Department as needed.
  • Assist project managers as requested.
  • Handles customers’ inquiries/requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a safe work environment.
  • Demonstrates behaviors aligned with our Core Values at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Highly motivated operational professional that can operate within the guidelines assigned.
  • High energy with a professional customer service attitude.
  • Have general knowledge of the fence industry and its nomenclature.
  • Proficient level of computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage various opportunities/projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Possess decision-making, problem-resolution, and creative thinking skills.
