Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive, organised and resilient Ward Clerk
. These are fast‑paced and varied roles where no two days are the same. You will manage a high volume of enquiries, maintain accurate patient records, and support in ensuring effective communication and patient flow. The ability to stay calm under pressure, prioritise tasks efficiently, and deliver excellent customer service in a busy environment is essential.
Ward Clerk in Antenatal Clinic – 17.5 hours per week
Ward Clerk – Aston Ward – 22.5 hours per week
Main Duties of the Job- Welcome and direct patients and visitors, ensuring they receive a friendly and professional service.
- Provide clerical support, including filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records, supporting clinic arrangements.
- Handle telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries, referring as appropriate.
- Update and maintain notice boards and patient information displays.
- Assist with patient feedback processes (e.g. Friends and Family Test).
- Provide cover for other clerical staff during absences.
We welcome applications from Graduate visa holders; it is important to note that you must have a minimum of 6 months before this expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.
