Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a leading technical manufacturer in Macclesfield that is looking to recruit a Commodity Buyer to join their Purchasing function.

8am - 5pm (Mon-Thur) 8:30am - 12:30pm (Fri)

The Role

Lead RFQ processes and negotiate Long Term Agreements to secure competitive, sustainable pricing
Take ownership of purchase price variances and identify risk mitigation for sole/single sourced items
Coordinate supplier performance reviews covering OTD, quality and capacity for growth
Champion Design for Manufacture and Design for Cost during NPI
Generate and present spend reviews, project updates and cost analysis to vendors and senior management
Liaise closely with Commercial and Purchased Materials Planning to keep static data aligned to programme life cycles

About You

Previous experience within a similar role working within a technical manufacturing or engineering environment
A track record running RFQ processes and negotiating contracts
Strong analytical skills with the ability to distil complex data into clear insight
