Health Visitor

Overview

Part‑time Health Visitor role within the 0‑19+ Service, supporting the Healthy Child Programme and public health activities across a designated area.

• Manage a caseload of universal partnership and partnership plus families.
• Support delivery of the Healthy Child Programme.
• Carry out public health activities for individuals, groups and communities.
• Collaborate with safeguarding partners and other agencies to protect children and families.
• Lead assessment, planning and evaluation of care for families.
• Support and motivate staff, including students in placements.

• Registered Nurse (Adult or Child/RSCN) or equivalent BSc in Public Health Nursing / Health Visiting.
• Experience managing a health visiting caseload.
• Leadership experience and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience in integrated working, clinical governance, risk management and audits.
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues and relevant professional codes.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Good computer skills (email, internet, word processing software).
• Access to a car for work purposes.
• Evidence of continuing professional development, including mentorship and motivational interviewing skills.
