We’re working with a welcoming, well-led secondary school in Leeds that’s looking for a passionate English Teacher to join their team. This is a department where discussion is encouraged, ideas are shared and lessons are designed to spark curiosity, creativity and a real love of language.

• Delivering engaging English lessons across language and literature
• Helping students develop confidence in reading, writing and spoken expression
• Planning creative, inclusive lessons that bring texts and ideas to life
• Working collaboratively within a supportive English department
• Contributing to a positive school culture where students feel motivated and heard

• A qualified English Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine love of language and literature
• A calm, confident classroom presence with a warm, consistent approach
• Someone who enjoys building relationships and making learning meaningful
• ECTs and experienced teachers are both very welcome

• Supportive leadership that values staff wellbeing
• Engaged students who are keen to learn
• A collaborative department that shares resources and ideas
• Clear opportunities for development and progression

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
