Mechanical Engineering Lecturer
Location:
Cheshire East
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
Contract:
Full Time | Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and industry-experienced Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our growing team at a well-established college based in Cheshire East. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced lecturer or an industry professional looking to transition into teaching.
The Role
You will deliver high-quality teaching across practical workshop sessions and theoretical lessons within Mechanical Engineering. The role will involve:
Delivering hands-on workshop training including:
Lathes
Milling
Turning
Machining and general fabrication techniques
Teaching underpinning theory to support practical learning
Preparing lesson plans, schemes of work and assessment materials
Supporting, motivating and tracking learner progress
Maintaining a safe and engaging workshop environment
The Ideal Candidate
Holds a minimum Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Confident in delivering practical workshop skills
Industry experience within mechanical/manufacturing engineering
Teaching experience is preferred but not essential
A passion for developing learners and supporting their progression
Strong communication and organisational skills
