We’re working with a well-regarded secondary school in Macclesfield looking for a confident and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team this September. It’s a school with strong routines, supportive leadership, and a Science department that genuinely collaborates, sharing ideas, resources, and best practice.
Whether you specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, they’re looking for someone who can spark curiosity and build real subject confidence across KS3 and KS4. KS5 teaching is available for the right candidate.
What you’ll be doing- Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
- Planning practical and theory-based lessons that make learning stick
- Stretching high attainers while supporting those who need concepts broken down clearly
- Contributing to a well‑organised and forward‑thinking department
- Supporting pupils’ academic progress and scientific thinking
- A visible and supportive SLT who back their staff
- Established schemes of work, no late‑night reinvention required
- Calm, purposeful learning environments
- Opportunities for progression and subject leadership
- UK QTS
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management
- A genuine enthusiasm for your subject that pupils can feel
