We are urgently seeking a resilient, fun, and creative SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly commended, "Ofsted Good" SEN school. If you have experience in care or education or personal experience with SEN and a desire to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, we want to hear from you.

Currently supporting over 90 pupils on roll, the school features a part-residential provision and sits on expansive rural grounds.

Your Role and ResponsibilitiesProviding tailored support to learners on a 1:1, small group, and wider classroom basis.
Assisting students with various SEN requirements, focusing heavily on SEMH needs.
Fostering a love for learning while guiding students toward independence.
Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress.
Actively participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events.
Experience: 6 to 12 months of experience in a care, education, or learning support environment.
Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) and eligibility to work in the UK.
Mindset: A flexible, resilient, and positive approach to supporting learners with complex needs.
Note:
Direct SEN experience is highly desirable, though candidates with a strong care background or those with personal SEN experience looking to transition into education are encouraged to apply.
