9) £33,465 - £51,714 (FTE & Actual Salary)
Contract type: Fixed term – Full time (Autumn term only, September – December 2026)
Reporting to: Head of Mathematics
Start date: Monday 7th September

This is an exciting time to be joining Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College and the Sir John Brunner Foundation Multi Academy Trust, which collectively educates over 4,300 children, and employs over 450 professionals. Each of our academies operates at the heart of their local communities. The Foundation’s central offices are based at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College campus.
The Role
As a teacher at our sixth form college, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire academic excellence and independent thinking, teaching 16–19-year-olds in A level Mathematics and A level Statistics. We do not teach GCSE Mathematics. Collaboration with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and tailored support is essential. This role also involves contributing to the wider college community through enrichment activities and academic mentoring.

We are seeking to appoint an individual with a strong academic background in Mathematics, to cover a period of maternity leave. A love of teaching and a passion for all aspects of the subject is essential. A Level experience is not an essential requirement. The successful candidate should have the ability to teach both A level Mathematics and A level Statistics.
An ability to teach another A level subject for example:
Further Mathematics or Computer Science would be welcomed, but this is not a pre-requisite for the successful applicant.
The successful applicant must have enhanced DBS disclosure and satisfactory references.
