A fantastic opportunity has become available for a caring and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newham. This full-time, long-term role is available for a September start and offers a competitive daily rate of 95 to 120, depending on experience. The school is looking for someone with strong SEN experience who can confidently support children with additional needs within an Early Years setting.

  • Do you have strong experience supporting children with SEN?
  • Are you confident providing 1:1 support to children with additional needs?
  • Are you comfortable carrying out personal care, including toileting and changing?

The Role
- Early Years Teaching Assistant

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to support children with a range of additional needs. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils access learning, develop communication skills, build independence, and engage positively with their peers.

A key part of the role will be supporting children with personal care needs, including toileting, changing, and hygiene routines. The successful candidate must be comfortable carrying out personal care while maintaining each child's dignity, privacy, and wellbeing.

You will also support play-based learning, sensory activities, communication development, behaviour management, and individual learning strategies. Strong patience, resilience, and relationship-building skills are essential.
