We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the Local Authority. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality statutory assessments and developing impactful Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) that truly make a difference.
You will manage a caseload of children and young people, working closely with families, schools, and professionals to ensure the right support is in place for every individual to thrive.

About the role:You will be required to:
- develop and amend Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) across the Local Authority for Children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- maintain a caseload of children at needs assessment, and with EHCPs, creating and amending plans.
- attend coproduction meetings and annual reviews as required.
- liaise with children and families, providers of educational provision and relevant education, health and social care colleagues to ensure quality plans that secure aspirational outcomes for children and young people.

About you:- Passionate about inclusion and ensuring every child and young person can thrive.
- Proactive, resilient, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people.
- Highly organised and compassionate, with a strong commitment to supporting children and young people with SEND.
- Good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with families, schools, and professionals.
- Empathetic and solution-focused, with the ability to manage sensitive conversations effectively.
- Able to manage a sizable caseload, prioritise workload, and meet statutory deadlines.
- Understanding of person-centred approaches and co-production.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
