This is an excellent opportunity to join an independent Town Planning Consultancy that provide their expertise to the residential, leisure, retail, and commercial sectors. They are on the lookout for a talented and enthusiastic Graduate Town Planner to join their Macclesfield studio.

    Duties for the role of Graduate Town Planner:
Duties for the role of Graduate Town Planner:
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications
  • Supporting planning appraisals and development potential assessments
  • Undertaking planning policy research and reviewing local planning documents
  • Assisting with the preparation of planning statements, reports and representations
  • Supporting senior colleagues with planning appeals and enforcement matters
  • Assisting with development plan and Local Plan representations
  • Liaising with local planning authorities and other professional consultants
  • Undertaking site visits and gathering information to support planning advice
  • Monitoring planning applications and progressing projects through the planning process
Requirements for the role of Graduate Town Planner:
  • A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning or a closely related discipline which is RTPI accredited
  • A genuine interest in the UK planning system and development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good research and analytical abilities
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, positive and practical approach to problem solving
  • The confidence to work collaboratively while also taking responsibility for your own workload
  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally
