Do you want to work in a friendly, professional and patient-focused Community Mental Health Team where your skills, knowledge and experience would be valued?
We are after a band 5 mental health nurse to join our team. The successful applicant would work predominantly within the wellbeing clinic administering and monitoring the effectiveness of medications to patients with complex mental health conditions. You would be working as an autonomous practitioner managing an individual caseload of patients within a clinic and community setting.
The position is full time (37.5hrs per week) and is based at the Jocelyn Solly Resource Centre. The service operates 9am‑5pm, Monday to Friday.
You will join a well-established, experienced and supportive multi‑disciplinary team that is always looking to evolve and adapt to changing practices in mental health care. The role includes actively engaging in service development and focusing on personal growth.
Shortlisting will commence on 11th March and the proposed interview date is 23rd March.
Responsibilities- Administer and monitor specialist medications as part of the wellbeing clinic.
- Order medications, check stock, and maintain clinic machinery.
- Conduct physical health checks and other clinical duties required for patient care.
- Contribute to the effective running of the clinic.
- Sound working knowledge of mental health disorders and the Mental Health Act.
- Excellent communication, clinic note writing and assessment skills.
- Ability to work autonomously within a multi‑disciplinary framework.
We offer a thorough induction period, which includes shadowing established team members. Supervision and mandatory training are provided, with wider training and personal development readily available.
Access to transport for work purposes is essential as the post involves community visits to patients’ homes and external clinics.
